Cataract accounts for a large share of blindness in India i.e. around 9.5 million blind people. Nearly 80% of this blindness is avoidable or treatable if access to proper eye care is available. The main percept of the venture is to provide easy assess to cataract surgery to everyone with a belief that thing emphasized i.e. that inability to pay should not come in the way of anyone receiving quality eye care.
We are exploring funding options from various donor agencies/ agencies/ institutions/ philanthropist individuals.
We have managed to bring down the cost of a Cataract surgery to Rs 2500/ (prevailing costs between Rs 10,000. to Rs 25,000/). Donations are required for those who can not afford even these vastly reduced costs. Masses below poverty line are operated free of cost.Benevolent donors who bear the expenses of the surgery are provided complete patient details for each surgery.
